Startup Alert: Innoventures Just Launched New 300,000 EGP Fund for Startups in Media and E-Waste

Whether you're a media geek working on the next VICE or a social entrepreneur tackling Egypt's mammoth challenge of e-waste recycling, you now have an opportunity to nab an investment deal - and mentorship to get it done - at Innoventures' Startup Reactor. The opportunity is open to entrepreneurs who are either working in the field of e-waste, or those immersed in media, advertising, content platforms, e-commerce, and talent and influencer management (yes, just when you think the influencer phenomenon is fading away).

The Startup Reactor programme, now running its fourth edition, is a five-month programme launched in partnership with VC4A and SRI that will see three innovative startups competing for 15,000 Euros in cash prizes. Despite the fact that the programme supports startups from any industry, Innoventures is introducing two additional tracks this year; one of them specialises in media, powered by JuiceLabs; and the other one focuses on E-waste, powered by SRI and CleanTech Arabia.

Over the period of six months; Start Up Reactor will support and connect entrepreneurs with investors and mentors in a programme that will see 30 championing startups qualify for a bootcamp, three of which will be awarded 15,000 Euros in cash prizes. The accelerator also offers a range of additional benefits for startups including office space, legal support with company registration and seed funding of up to 300,000 EGP.

Receiving applications until April 1st, the programme is calling on all inquisitive minds and creative hustlers to attend the “Spark” orientation sessions and workshops held around Egypt during March.
