Learn without Borders with the University of Hertfordshire, Hosted by the Global Academic Foundation

You don’t have to choose between studying abroad and being close to home, with the first and only full-fledged UK branch campus in Egypt.

Every highschool parent faces the same Sophie’s choice: do you try to swing to send your kid abroad for college or do you keep them right by your side? Sending them abroad is tempting: job prospects, life experience, quality of education. Keep them here and they get unique learning opportunities, stay connected to their community, and are plugged in to the job market from the get-go. But, besides the terror that comes with sending your kid continents away, there’s one thing that’s usually the tie-breaker: foreign tuition.

The University of Hertfordshire (UH), hosted by the Global Academic Foundation (UH-GAF) right in the New Administrative Capital, is the convenient best of both worlds: a world class college education, operated and overseen by the UH, culminating in a UK degree, and they don’t need to set foot on a plane—unless they want to. Students do have the option of spending up to one academic year studying at the UH (UK) home campus, for the same tuition fees as the Egyptian branch. They also have the option of attending their graduation ceremonies in Hertfordshire.

UH-GAF is the first and only full-fledged UK branch campus in Egypt, offering all of its graduates official degrees from the University of Hertfordshire. Last year, UH-GAF launched its foundation year in business, pharmaceutical science, and mass communications, and is expanding into a unique multidisciplinary program this September, including program offerings in pharmacy, engineering, computer science, and physiotherapy.

Opting for UH-GAF also means you’re keeping an eye on your career; Times Higher Education ranks its employment rate at 96.5%, particularly significant because of UH-GAF’s work placement opportunities in prestigious multinational companies. The faculty, composed of both Egyptian and international faculty, is geared towards providing students with the tools they need for post-grad life.
