Japan has agreed to loan Egypt USD240 million to develop its energy sector and reduce the financial gap in the country.
The loan will primarily be used to help Egypt reach the development targets of their 'Vision 2030' plan, which relies on the creation of more sustainable energy resources. Due to Egypt’s geographical importance, the state hopes to become a regional hub for sustainable energy resources.
