Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer Vivo to Invest USD 30 Million in Egypt

Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo, will invest USD 30 million in Egypt over the next two years. Egypt is seen as an important promising market for the manufacturer, having accounted for 5% of the company’s total international smartphone sales. Vivo plans to achieve a sales growth rate of 300% in the next three years, building on its customer base of almost 400,000 across 10 Egyptian governorates.


The investments would involve the establishment of five new customer service centres in the country by the end of 2021, which is expected to create between 3,000 to 5,000 jobs across the country.
