Africa IoT and AI Challenge Expands to Tunisia, Morocco & Egypt

The Africa Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) Challenge has expanded to North Africa, officially launching in Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt, as well as Kenya and Uganda.

The challenge will welcome participants from Rwanda, South Africa, and Nigeria by the end of the year.

Led by various wings of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the challenge is designed to strengthen the capabilities of university students and startup owners boasting innovative ideas in the fields of IoT and AI.

Practically, the programme provides participants with training, workshops, and additional support, targeting young Africa-based technical talents to prepare them to accelerate the digital transformation movement within the continent.

It also helps develop startups and investment-ready projects by extending access to a support network. After receiving training, participants will compete in local finals before winners from each country qualify and compete within regional finals to be held at the IEEE International Conference on AI and IoT.
