Zawya’s 'Italian Cinema Focus' Pays Homage to Pier Paolo Pasolini

Italian film director and writer Pier Paolo Pasolini was famous for raising questions about bourgeois values, totalitarianism and taboos. With his notable works, he established himself as an opinion leader in European cinema and literature. 

This year marks his 100th birthday, and to celebrate the occasion, Downtown indie cinema Zawya is collaborating with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura to pay homage to the Italian intellectual in a film programme titled ‘Italian Cinema Focus’.

The screenings of a diverse selection of his productions will run from June 22nd to July 15th.
