Two Egyptians Heading to Berlin Film Festival 2016

Film distributor Ahmed El Sobky and film critic and journalist Rasha Hosny have been invited to attend the 14th edition of Berlinale Talents, the annual summit and networking platform of the Berlin International Film Festival, which will take place from February 13^th to 18^th in Germany.

Every year, 300 emerging television and film industry professionals are chosen to participate in over 100 events over the period of six days. Three-time Academy Award winner and Berlinale jury president Meryl Streep will be among 150 acclaimed industry experts holding masterclasses and workshops. “Berlinale Talents is the ideal platform to support new talent,” said Festival Director Dieter Kosslick. Out of 2648 applicants from 118 countries, the 300 talents were chosen based on “prior achievements, resonance and relevance of the work as well as exceptional promise,” according to a press release by Berlinale.
