Sawiris Foundation Launches Arts & Culture Scholarship
The Sawiris Foundation's new scholarship for Egyptian students who want to study visual arts, film or performing arts will cover pretty much every expense, including travel costs and health insurance.
The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development is rolling out a new scholarship programme for Egyptian citizens to complete their arts and culture degrees, be it undergraduate or Master’s.
They're accepting applications from anyone who wants to study visual arts, film, or performing arts. Their scholarship is willing to fund a four-year BA programme or a two-year Master’s at any of the universities recognized by the foundation.
What does this scholarship cover exactly? Everything, really. Tuition, accommodation, educational materials, living expenses, travel expenses, and even health insurance.
This isn't a one-way ticket out of the country, though. Applicants must commit to coming back to Egypt for work after graduation for at least two to three years.
Applications for the upcoming academic year closes on May 15th, and the final recipients will be announced on June 10th. For more information, you can visit sawirisfoundation.org
