The French cultural collective ‘Le Printemps des Artistes’ will be hosting the seventh edition of their annual charity art exhibition. Happening 5-7th May 2023 at the Diplomatic Club in the heart of Downtown Cairo, this exhibition promises to be its biggest and most diverse yet.

80 contemporary artists, ranging from sculptors to painters, photographers and mixed-media artists, have been selected to showcase their work out of a total of over 350 applications. Visitors are in for a visual journey, as the exhibition spotlights art from all corners of the country, from Alexandria to Cairo and Middle & Upper Egypt, as well as including international artists from Iraq, India, Lebanon, and the Ukraine, to name only a few.

The exhibition is raising money for Samusocial International Egypte (SSIEG), where funds will go into three causes. The money will help increase the capacity of an existing day care centre which currently provides medical and legal services to over 500 children a year. Secondly, a new emergency centre for girls and young women will be built to provide accommodation, security and specialised care services in Cairo. The funding will also promote sustainable entrepreneurial projects for women, by offering educational courses in accounting and marketing.
