Photopia Launches Free Online Educational Program by Expert Local and Regional Photographers

While photographers might be at a loss these days while they’re holed up at home, unable to pick up their gear and head out on creative benders, perhaps they can instead pick up one or two new tricks from the heaps of photographing workshops and initiatives found online. And what better place to start than the one led by Egyptian photography platform Photopia.

The studio is now offering a myriad of online educational talks, demos, discussions and Q&As on the art form led by local and regional established photographers and artists such as Karim El Hayawan and Mosa’ab Elshamy. Moreover, Sony Middle East will also be joining in and giving three free online workshops in May streamed exclusively on Photopia’s digital platforms.

From fashion, photojournalism, food, advertising and lighting, the initiative is meant to present nuanced deep dives and methods, for novices and veterans alike, that delve into different subjects of photography so as soon as this pandemic ceases, photographers can hit the ground running again.

You can #StayHome and watch all these workshops for free live on Photopia’s Instagram, Facebook or YouTube. And if you’re unable to catch any of the talks & discussions live, they will all be later posted to Photopia’s social media.
