Mohamed Ramadan Wins AFRIMA Award in Nigeria

Superstar Mohamed Ramadan has received an award from the All African Music Awards (AFRIMA) for his ever-popular “Mafia” under the category of African Fans’ Favourite in 2019.

AFRIMA is an annual competition which aims to promote the unification of Africa through the celebration of its music, as well as the recognition of the best musical and creative talents in the continent. It also focuses on honouring the various different African music traditions and shedding light on Africa’s amazing talents to the rest of the world. This year was the 6th edition of AFRIMA, and was hosted in Lagos, Nigeria.

 

On his Instagram, Ramadan thanked his fans for the win: “Congratulations to my country and my beloved fans for this award of African Fans’ Favourite.”

Other Egyptian artists such as Amr Diab, Tamer Hosny and Mostafa Haggag were nominated for Best Male Artist in North Africa, and Cairokee was nominated for Best African Duo, Group or Band.
