Hesham Nazih Wins UK Award For His Work on Pharaohs' Golden Parade

Egyptian composer Hesham Nazih has been honoured at the Movie Music UK Awards for his work on the music of the Pharaohs' Golden Parade, a national event that made global headlines in April 2021 when royal mummies from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir were moved to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat during a spectacular procession.

Nazih is known for his decades-long musical career, much of which took place behind the curtains of Egyptian cinema. His career began when Nazih composed the score for 'Hysteria' in 1998, although his first real break-out work was on the soundtrack for 'El Sellem Wel Te'ban' in 2001. From then on he's worked on independent albums and some of Egypt's most successful films, including 'The Blue Elephant' series in 2014 and 2019, the 'Welad Rizk' series in 2015 and 2019, and 'The Originals' in 2017.
