El Gouna Film Festival Hosts Film Programme at Cairo’s Zawya Cinema

El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) is partnering up with Downtown Cairo’s independent Zawya Cinema to showcase a special film programme from October 15th to the 21st, which will enable audiences in Cairo to watch some of the coastal festival’s celebrated selection of films for the first time.

“This year, we are proud of our partnership with Zawya Cinema,” Marianne Khoury, Film Producer and GFF’s Artistic Director, tells CairoScene. “There will be a miniature version of the festival screening at Zawya Cinema in Cairo, curated for Zawya’s wide audience that cannot travel to El Gouna.”

The programme will showcase 14 films that will be screened at El Gouna Film Festival, although the specific selection has yet to be announced.
