Cairopolitan's Hosting Inktober Workshops in Cairo's Most Iconic Spots

Hey, all you artists out there - you HAVE been keeping up with your Inktober challenges, right?

For the uninitiated, ‘Inktober’ is an annual art challenge that invites artists all over the world to create an ink drawing every day throughout October, usually following a certain theme. Bringing some of that energy into Cairo, product design shop and art gallery Cairopolitan is hosting a series of workshops in six iconic locations across Cairo, in collaboration with six Egyptian artists.

Each workshop takes up a full day’s time, and will teach participants about various techniques they can adopt for their illustrations using their surroundings as inspiration.

Graphic designer and muralist Aya Tarek will come on board the Nile Yacht on October 8th, and Omar Mobarek will set up shop at the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir on October 9th. The following weekend will see Akram William host his workshop on October 15th at Azhar Park, while Sarah Mossallam creates art amongst the animals of the Giza Zoo on October 16th.

You can buy a ticket to the workshop of your choosing for EGP 600 via cairopolitan.com/inktober
