Cairo Opera House Hosts Youssef Chahine Tribute Concert on August 21st

The Cairo Opera House is hosting a musical tribute to decorated director Youssef Chahine on Saturday, August 21st. The concert will be led by esteemed composer Hisham Gabr, who first performed his tribute to the Alexandrian filmmaker at the 2018 El Gouna Film Festival, where they held a memorial 10 years after Chahine passed away. The programme celebrates some of the most iconic soundtracks and songs in Egypt's cinematic history, including dramas like 'The Land' (1969) and 'The Sixth Day' (1986).
