Brazilian Art Duo Acidum Project to Grace Giza with Massive Mural

Brazilian street art duo Acidum Project - made up of Tereza Dequinta and Robézio Marqs - are coming to the streets of Cairo to paint one of their show-stopping murals by the entrance of the soon-to-be-inaugurated Grand Egyptian Museum.

Joint-commissioned by the Brazilian Embassy, the National Authority for Tunnels and urban art production house DUCO, the artists can be seen from now until September 12th painting on the concrete metro construction walls in front of the museum. Hoping to bring vibrance and life to passing cars and those visiting the museum, the mural will embody cultural elements of both Brazil and Egypt.

Travelling from their home of Fortaleza, Brazil, Dequinta and Marqs have painted dozens of murals throughout Brazil and around the world since 2006. Their most recent collaboration with Lebanese-based artist Renoz saw the creation of a 540m2 mural in Beirut.
