Amir El-Masry & Adham El-Sharkawy Are Remaking 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'

Egyptian heartthrobs Amir El-Masry and Adham El-Sharkawy are starring in an Egyptian remake of hit show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. BAFTA award-winning Egyptian actor Amir El Masry stepped back on the scene with his lead role in the critically acclaimed British film Limbo as well as star turns in Netflix’s ‘The One’, ‘Industry’, ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and hit Egyptian Ramadan TV series ‘Al Ikhtiyar’. More recently, El Masry has been cast in the new season of Netflix’s drama ‘The Crown’, playing a young Mohamed Al-Fayed. On the other hand, Egyptian-American actor Adham El-Sharkawy rose to prominence through his role in the notorious Ramadan series, Le3bet Newton.

We’re not too sure if they’re starring in the show or trying to devastate us with their equally charming accents and gorgeous looks, but we do know that S Productions obviously knows what it is doing. Having taken the lead in remaking popular Western shows, producing Setat Beit El Maadi, Qawa3ed El Tala2 El-45, and Al-Anisa Farah, S Productions have monopolized this niche.

Starring alongside the talented duo is Egyptian sweetheart Mariam El-Khosht, who has previously worked with El-Masry. The brilliant Amr Medhat is the scenario and script writer and Joe Bo Eid is in the director chair. The show, tentatively named ‘Magnoona Beik’, is set to air on Shahid soon.
