Abdelrahman Roshdy Releases Star-studded Debut Album

Abdelrahman Roshdy's debut album features Egypt's musical stars, including Cairokee's front man Amir Eid, singer Ahmed Kamel and shaabi superstar Mahmoud El Lithy.

Musician Abdelrahman Roshdy – best known amongst his industry cohorts for composing the anthem to the 2020 edition of the El Gouna Film Festival ‘Dokki Ya Mazzika’ - has just released his debut album, ‘El Aaesela’, bringing a fresh new energy to Egypt’s music scene. After years working behind the scenes, he’s taking up space front and centre with a little help from his friends. A slew of stars have collaborated on this debut outing, with which each track lyrically delving into life’s important questions -  love, society, faith and existence

‘Fesam’ features Cairokee’s front man Amir Eid while ‘Neshky Le Meen’ - written and composed by multi-talented artist Khaled Essam – boasts collaboration with singer Ahmed Kamel. Finally, ‘El Rezk’ brings us none other than shaabi superstar Mahmoud El Lithy. Famed producer Mohamed Sakr adds his deft touch throughout, mixing and mastering the entire album.

“I wanted this album to be something different and revolutionary in the Egyptian music market,” says Roshdy of the multi-genre project. “It’s representative of my musical journey and addresses all the challenges I struggled with in my musical career—God, self, and society.”
